The differences between Akbari and Ahmad Aghai pistachios

  • Akbari’s shell is slightly darker than  Ahmad Aghaei pistachio, 
  • Akbari is one of the large pistachios and is generally larger than Ahmad Aghaei.
    Ahmad Aghaei pistachio is lighter in color than Akbari. 
  • The average number of Akbari pistachios is 700 to 800 per kilogram. 
  • The average number of Ahmad Aghaei pistachios is 800 to 900 per kilogram.
  • Ahmadghaei pistachio has a more resistant shell than Akbari pistachio.
  • The moisture percentage of both pistachios is about 4%.
  • Both types are suitable for serving.

               

Akbari Pistachios Cultivar

Akbari Pistachio cultivar is also known as Abdullahi in Rafsanjan region.

It has been selected in Kashkuyeh village of Rafsanjan and it is one of the commercial and most well-known cultivars throughout the country.

Akbari cultivar along with Ouhadi and Kalle-Ghoochi cultivars has the highest area under cultivation in the country and also in Kerman province. Akbari pistachio tree has a medium growth rate and grows extensively. The height of this tree is medium and the width of its crown is large. Akbari pistachio is in the category of late-flowering pistachio trees and it is in the late-ripening category in terms of fruiting time.

The kernels of this pistachio have a suitable size and also have good quality and taste. If we want to present the characteristics of Akbari pistachio in a few words, we must say that this seedling has large pistachios and nuts. As you know, pistachios are among the kernels that contain vitamins and minerals and are rich in properties and nutrients; it is also useful for many diseases. These properties are so useful that some experts have recommended their continuous use in moderation.
